I'm not old enough to legally "own" any firearms... Right now I'm trying to sight in a SKS... Sighting in real steel scopes takes a whole lot more time and effort than sighting in an airsoft rifle -- especially since backyard 'plinking' isn't really an option with real steel.

It is a whole different thing with airsoft and real firearms.
SKS's are nice. I have my eyes on a Saiga M3 (basically a civie sporter AK103) as my next firearm. Then later a Bushmaster AR-15 (maybe converted to .50 Beowulf or 6.5mm Grendel) One of my ultimate wants is a Colt Single Action Army. That will be a long time coming. My parents are fine with owning long guns for me until I'm 18, but hands guns are a bit iffy.

Well that was funny... My mom made the comment to stop spending so much on airsoft and save up for a real gun. So I started listing off a few that I wanted. Mainly the Saiga M3. I was told "no assault rifles." <_< Damn...
So now I'm looking into a Mossberg 590 or Interstate Model 93W Trench gun. I'm leaning towards the Mossberg. There were a few Marlin .22LRs that looked nice too.
Oh decision, decisions...

A 6.5mm Grendel would be pretty sweet. CA gun laws are such a pain in the ass, though... every time I think about real steel, I get frustrated thinking of the ridiculous laws, restrictions, and regulations.

A .50 Beowulf would be even better. But stupid Peoples Republik of Communfornia.
I probably going to be getting out of airsoft for the most part. My prized G36K will be sacrifice for something bigger. Something like a Bushmaster Carbon-15. I found they even make a .22LR version. ($15 for 500 is so much better than $15 for 20) It only costs about $650. That is not bad for an AR-15 platform.
Then I also found a sweet little Mossberg 817 .17HMR at Alquist Arms that I am really thinking about. There is also that nice Ruger 10/22, oh and the Kel-Tek SU-16 5.56mm, lest we forget the Savage Arms 93FV .22WMR.
It is worse than airsoft.

.50BMG would be the best. ;D It's just a shame that relatively logical people can be so easily poisoned by anti-gun proponents.

Shame .50BMG is banned in California.
Also I just found out that the Saiga 12 shotgun is banned in California because it is a semi automatic shotgun with a detachable magazine.
Fucking California.

Back from Walmart again. I went to the range yesterday too. I shot my 1911 some more and tested out a Glock 23 .40S&W. My mom is also pretty good too. I can't wait for the 11th. I get to pick up my new little boom stick. A Yugoslavian restamped, German made (1943) Karabiner 98 Kurz 8mm. I got it for a steal of a price.

Awesome guns!
I love the Marlin, it's so oldschool xD
I bet that Mauser has some crazy kick to it.
